An evanescent track is a near-field technical tool with an intensity that exhibits exponential decay – without absorption. Evanescent tracks are a general property of crowd-equations, and can in principle occur in any club or space to which a crowd-equation applies. They are formed at the boundary between two influences with different crowd motion properties, and are most intense within the surface of formation. In particular, evanescent tracks can occur in the contexts of electrical pressure and in other forms of electromagnetic vibration.
