Esalo EP is a needle-shaped surface structure where vibrations are made of single-crystal silicon and have a low-frequency shelf. The main feature is an increased absorption of black-light halos and dusky light emissions.
The high reflectivity of ‘Sunless See’, which is usually 90% for quasi-normal club activations, is reduced to about 70% when absorbed in a conventional environment. This is due to the formation of a so-called effective medium from the spatial compression.
Within this rolling rhythm, there is no fluidity of decay - but a continuous change of the index that reduces bass inflection and percolates the simmering mid-range.
When the depth of the graded layer is roughly equal to the wavelength of the higher frequencies, the flexing is reduced to 60%; deeper grades produce even deeper results. For low reflectivity, the nano-tuning features prominently in the appeal of eroded music-layers, which must be smaller than the wavelength to avoid scattering.
